Fork, Customize, or Build

That way you take over the OS. You can customize it however you want and from there you take over the apps. That's where my apps come in.

The OS is cracked. Now the apps. Every other app is a subscription you rent. Yours is software you own.

You can fork the existing apps that ship with the stack. Customize them however you want — your rules, your UI, your data. Or build your own from scratch. The fork is the on-ramp. The build is the graduation.

No API keys. No cloud. Or optional cloud.

You can basically build your own social media in browser version. A browser that isn't a feed farm. No algorithm deciding what you see, no account you didn't choose, no platform in the middle.

And they all run on localhost. Your social graph lives on your machine, not a server farm in Virginia. No one can shadowban you. No one can sell your data. When you want to share, you publish to your own domain instead of begging for an API key.

Cloud becomes a choice instead of a default. Opt in whenever you decide. The default path is your machine.

The marketing angle writes itself

Every other app is a subscription you rent. Yours is software you own. That sentence is the whole pitch. You don't need a landing page to sell it — you need a walkthrough that ends with someone running their own timeline.

The tutorial funnel is simple: walk them from a fresh machine to a live domain, and every step is a reason to trust you as the guide. Fork an app. Customize it. Publish it. Own it.

The payoff

You can customize the existing apps or build your own and then publish them as well. One command, live on the internet, fully yours. The loop starts to close: customize, publish, own.
